Your History & Story: First we’ll look at your own food story and body story. We all have a relationship with food. Some of these experiences are positive and some less so. We’ll need to unpack yours first to inform how we come up with the best solutions for you and your unique family.
Current Challenges: We will take a look at your current struggles. What do you encounter regularly that is hard, frustrating, and confusing?
Food Rules: We examine the rules & guidelines you have around food in your home. Whether they come from your parents, what you hear other parents do or say, or an Instagram account, they exist and awareness of these is a crucial part of healing. It’s time we take a close look at them and see what fits.
Your family members: Learning about the interests, preferences strengths, talents, and passions of each family member in the home really helps me connect the dots to making food a positive experiences for each. The family is an ecosystem, so let’s take this all into account when we’re optimizing food!
The Kitchen: Let’s set up your space for success. Taking into account the ages, needs, and interests of each person in the home, we will make your kitchen a room for everyone to feel comfortable and empowered about food.
Nutrition 101: Gain confidence, once and for all, with a good baseline understanding. These are the tools to make food shopping, reading ingredient labels, and preparing food easy and more fun!
Holistic and Integrative Health: We can’t talk about food or the body without understanding how the body works and underlying mechanisms for health. I want you to be empowered to know how your body thrives so you can stop outsourcing to “the experts.” If you’re working with an integrative physician, I am delighted to partner with them to provide a holistic support plan for you.
Intuitive & Embodied Eating: You’ll learn the foundations of eating psychology that have nothing to do with diet dogma so that you can best support yourself and everyone else in your family in a strong, positive, and conscious relationship with food.
When it comes to modeling a positive relationship with food, it’s not about the parenting scripts. You have to own and live a loving, pleasurable, and connected relationship with food. Your joy will be felt. It’s contagious!
