Q: When does the class start? I am traveling over the next few weeks and I know I’ll miss a few of the calls.
A: The program begins on Wednesday March 20, 2013. If you can’t make a call (or any of the calls!) don’t worry. All calls will be recorded and you’ll get the audio with in 24 hours of each call. Q&A implementation calls will be recorded as well. Typically only about 20% of those registered for the program actually dial in because, well, we’re busy!
Q: I’m not planning on getting pregnant for a while. Is too early for me to benefit from this?
A: It’s never too early. That’s the truth. The earlier you begin getting your body geared up for pregnancy, the better. The more time you give your body the best nutrients and support with the best lifestyle, the more your body will receive it and thrive.
Q: I’m already pregnant. Is it too late for me to take something like this?
A: No way! Just as it’s never too early, it’s never too late. If you are pregnant and you begin to change your diet, your baby will absolutely benefit. All of these dietary changes are ideal for pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, breastfeeding and beyond.
Q: How much time will I need to devote to this program?
A: As with most things in life, the more you put into it, the more you’ll get out of it. In addition to the 1-hour calls/recordings, I will give you some additional reading, notes and recommended shopping to do that week. There’s also the online forum and you can put as much or as little into that as you’d like.
Q: Do I get access to everything all at once?
A: No. That would be really overwhelming! The goal of this class is to implement in a step-by-step way. By the time the 6 weeks are over, you’ll have everything. You’ll receive support materials for each of the corresponding classes following each class.
Q: Is there a group dynamic?
A: Absolutely. There will be a Q&A portion to each call in addition to the implementation calls and the online email group where you can share your questions, experiences and strategies.
Q: Are men allowed to take Healthy You for a Healthy Baby?
A: Indeed! The more the merrier. Lots of the nutritional principles apply to dad-to-be as well and it would be great to have him as a support system for the changes you’re making.
Q: I already eat very well and know a lot about nutrition. Will I still get something out of this experience?
A: Absolutely. There are so many dietary theories out there and while you might be informed about many of these, there’s a specific and traditional optimal diet for pre-conception and that is the very diet we’re going to focus on here. Food is just part of it, though. We’re going to dive into so much more than just diet.
Q: Deena, will I be able to ask you questions?
A: Of course! We’ll have Q&A on each weekly call, 2 calls 100% geared towards Q&A, and a Facebook community that I’ll be on all the time. AND the first 5 people who sign up for this Healthy You for a Healthy Baby program will get a 30-minute 1:1 session totally geared towards your needs.
Q: What if I’m not ready now? Will you be offering this seminar again in a few months?
